‘Gastronomes’ has been created for those who have a real passion for appreciating great food. Equally well-suited to both those with already good culinary skills and those with little knowledge, but lots of enthusiasm, the itinerary is delivered in an unpretentiously enjoyable way.

One day of your stay will be set aside for a cookery class with an accomplished chef. It starts in the morning where the art of ingredient selection is demonstrated to you at a local market. In the afternoon you will learn preparation techniques. The day is completed as you sit down to savour your hard work, accompanied by a bottle of fine wine. For those short of time a morning three-course demonstration class, followed by a gastronomic lunch, can be offered as an alternative.

No visit to the Bordeaux region is complete without a visit to one of its wine châteaux. We will arrange for you to visit one of Saint Emilion’s finest. You will be given a tour of their vineyard and cellars and have an opportunity to taste their wines.

Lunch at a specially chosen gastronomic restaurant is included one day as is a visit and tasting to either an oyster or foie gras farm.

To complete your gastronomic dream you will dine in one of the region's Michelin starred restaurants. After savouring a seven-course tasting menu you will be chauffeured home and your car will be delivered, ready for the next day’s discoveries to begin.

As with all GT itineraries you will also benefit from being chauffeured to and from the airport to your chosen sports car. A personalised touring guidebook will be prepared specially for your stay and this will link in to your ‘GT’ navigation system, an invaluable tool for seeking out the best restaurants be they inexpensive bistros or local gastronomic favourites.
